Johnny Ross has nearly 15 years experience with Johnson & Johnson in various levels of leadership. While there, he was responsible for representing Johnson & Johnson’s small molecule portfolio consisting of 16 products where he liaised with regional health plans and integrated systems, and PBM’s to negotiate pharmaceutical formulary positioning. While at J&J, he also worked directly and indirectly with the field sales force, where he managed the Women’s Health Care Sales Force in Texas. He worked with field based regional business directors, district managers and field representatives, providing up to date market information to develop non-contractual and contractual push and pull through strategies. Finally, his tenure at J&J afforded him the opportunity to manage several projects related to business development and field sales. He started his career with J&J as sales representative in West Texas. Throughout his career at J&J, he was constantly recognized as a top performer, winning three Presidential Trophies, named Strategic Market Director of the year once, District Manager of the year three times, and sales representative of the year three times. Johnny received his BS in Political Science from Texas Tech University in 1986 and his Masters of Public Administration from Angelo State University in 1989.
Dr. Jay Morris is a Board-Certified Family Physician and Certified Physician Executive serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Community Health Choice. Dr. Morris has broad experience including local, Regional, and National leadership roles with providers as well as with Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA Exchange payers. Notable in this regard include prior roles as Market Medical Director for Humana’s Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee markets, Market President for the VillageMD’s Houston Market, Regional Chief Medical Officer for Humana's Senior Products Texas Market, Chief Medical Officer for UnitedHealthcare's Southeast Texas Market, Chief of Emergency Services and Medical Director of the Emergency Department at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, and Chairman of the Urgent Care Department for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston.
Dr. Morris earned his Medical Degree from the UT Health San Antono and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Christus Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Memorial. He earned a Doctorate in Jurisprudence (J.D.) from South Texas College of Law - Houston, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business. Dr. Morris is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Physicians, and a Certified Physician Executive and Vanguard Member of the American Association for Physician Leadership.
Dr. Morris lives in Friendswood, TX and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. Additionally, he enjoys boating, traveling, playing tennis, and investing.
John S. Early, M.D. is a Board -Certified Orthopedic Surgeon presently in private practice as a partner at Texas Orthopeadic Associates LLP, a division of Ortho Lonestar. He is an internationally recognized educator for orthopedic management of foot and ankle maladies. He has served as a consultant developer for many companies over the years and holds a number of patents for the design of orthopedic implants. Dr. Early has served as the Medical Director for Medhab Inc. since its inception. In addition to his regular patient care duties, Dr Early serves as Chair for the Board of Managers at Texas Institute for Surgery at Texas Health Dallas for the last 10 years.
Dr. Early is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Princeton University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. His Medical Degree was earned at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas with a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at The University of Washington Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr Early is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Mr. Fischer brings to the Board nearly 40 years of experience serving in key leadership positions in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Mr. Fischer also currently serves on the board of directors of Esperion Therapeutics, Inc., and Milestone Pharmaceutics, Inc. He previously served on the board of directors of Marinus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Agile Therapeutics, Inc., and Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He is also an advisor to HealthQuest Capital.
Most recently, Mr. Fischer served as the Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Vivus, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company commercializing and developing innovative, next-generation therapies to address unmet needs in obesity, diabetes, sleep apnea and sexual health (2013 to 2017). Mr. Fischer began his career in the industry at Johnson & Johnson, where he spent 29 years in various positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Company Group Chairman, Johnson & Johnson, and Worldwide Franchise Chairman, Cordis Corporation (2008 to 2012), which included responsibility for Cordis and Biosense Webster, and as Company Group Chairman, North America Pharmaceuticals (2004 to 2007), which included responsibility for Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Janssen, McNeil Pediatrics, and Scios. Prior to this position, he served as President of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals (2000 to 2004), with his operating responsibilities encompassing the commercialization of products in multiple therapeutic categories including epilepsy, migraine, and products in the analgesic, anti-infective, cardiovascular, neurologic, psychiatric and women’s health areas.
Wesley Gilliland, was co- founder and CEO of CGC Southwest Management Services, which provided financial, management, billing, and legal services for medical practices throughout Texas. Since selling the company in 2018, Wesley continues to serve as a consultant to Medical practices and other developing companies. He has expertise in finding and implementing solutions to make businesses of all sizes work smarter and more profitably. Wes is known as the team builder—bringing all the necessary resources to the table to achieve success.
Wesley is a former university administrator and professor and has also been involved in the medical franchise industry since 2007. He currently is a partner in VIO Medical Spa franchises and a member of the ownership group for the franchise area development in Dallas, Texas. Previously he was an owner of multiple Medical Weightloss Clinic franchise units in Virginia and North Carolina and served on the National Advisory Council for the Franchise.
